When Everything Is A Bust
By Mark Flippo
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (NIV)
James 1:2-3, “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.” (NLT)
Sorry for the pun but it was funny! Boy, do we ever have a lot of failures in this life. Mostly because we don't have the Victory that is explained in the lesson titled It's Tag Team Time! When everything is falling apart and don't say that has never happened in your life. If you do, you will need to repent first for lying, then finish reading this lesson! There is so much that we do not have any control of. We feel stuck between a boulder and a super hard place. We need to learn to give our impossible situations to God, who can handle our dilemmas.
Now that does not mean give it to Him in prayer and then pick it up as you leave! Have you not had enough? Aren't you just wore out now? You can hardly put one foot in front of another. Then stop whining and give it to God once and for all! You will be taller without that weight you have been carrying!
