Surprise Children of God, the devil works on both of these ways. It may come at you face first but if that does not work it comes around your backside! The Bible teaches us that we should not be ignorant of his devices. Always know he is a sneaky low down weasel! It was so dumb to go up against God Himself! Can you imagine?
Why did so many of the angels join him in his rebellion? Seriously Why? They joined the losing team! Even humans know better than to join the losing team! Do not understand that one. Where was I? Oh yes, you must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit to know when you are being attacked. You must know how to take the wind out of his sails. Use the Word of God to counter every attack! The Bible is not in your home to balance your table!
