Should Jesus Love Me?
By Mark Flippo
Mark 2:15-16 (MSG)
Later Jesus and his disciples were at home having supper with a collection of disreputable guests. Unlikely as it seems, more than a few of them had become followers. The religious scholars and Pharisees saw him keeping this kind of company and lit into his disciples: “What kind of example is this, acting cozy with the riffraff?”
Sadly, that is how some people will see you. It does not matter to Jesus. He looks upon the heart. Accusing hearts are black. Surprising even our day some tax collectors can really want to follow Jesus. He will work with any one whose heart desires Him. When they know they are sinners, He can start on them. Not so much with hypocrites.
