Praise Him With What You Have
By Mark Flippo
The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; my father's God, and I will extol Him ... Exodus 15:2.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who is like You among the gods, O LORD? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders? ... Exodus 15:11.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He is your praise and He is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you which your eyes have seen ... Deut 10:21.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies ... 2 Sam 22:4.
Some saints attend a place where instruments are few or none existent. Some are not able to go anywhere. Our congregation has mostly tambourines. We sing with our voices, bang the jingle maker and one of our saints is learning to play the drums and one has started piano lessons. We get our Praise on without having to depend on instruments.
They are a blessing, but do not let them take the place of you giving your best to God in Worship! I have been in a large congregation and the music was tremendous but so many did not always give their all to God in Worship. Me at the top of the list. You can get lazy in a big church.
If that is were you go, reevaluate yourself and make sure Jesus is foremost in your mind! No matter what you have available in your group give your heart in Worship and the others things will not be the center of your Praise!
If you are alone just give Him your pure heart in Praise to Him and if you feel like singing, you may need to find a quiet place to surrender your all to Him! He does not care if you sing on key or not! I don't think He is using sound stopping earphones to keep from hearing my singing so you should be good to go!
