Following Jesus No Matter What
By Mark Flippo
Matthew 10:22 - And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matthew 16:24 - Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mark 8:34 - And when he had called the people [unto him] with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
John 8:12 - Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Many have been called but few are chosen! There are those that start this Christian walk with Jesus only to find they do not want to give up their sinful ways, and return to them. Others do not grasp how fantastic it is and walk away. Sometimes the fault lays within the family structure that adds to the failure.
Thankfully, you can be redeemed from those failures. Just ask Him for forgiveness and you can walk clean again before Him. He will restore you to a blessed position. Many have followed Jesus though it cost them their lives. They have finished their race and are with Him even today! Do not let anything come between you and our Father. He is worth everything you must endure to be with Him.
