The Biggest Lesson, Learning To Fail
By Mark Flippo
Proverbs 24:16 (NIV)
“for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.” Many Bible verses about failure tell us that with God by our side all things are possible. With this message, we are more open and easily ready to bounce back after a mistake or failed attempt is made.
Learning to fail Gracefully is a badge of Honor! Very little is learned from success. Boy, can the scars of failure hurt! It has been my understanding that when you fail just get back up one more time than you have messed up.
Some of the greatest men and women of God have shown such Grace under searing pressure. In our younger days it gave us something to hold to. We have been learning on our own. Well, it is much harder! But God gives us Grace to run this race that He has set before us! Thank you, Jesus for a Godly wife, that notices when I have messed up. Of course, it works both ways! Isn't it nice not one of us is better than the other! Walking hand in hand, if one of us falls behind, the other is ready to give a pull forward. God Bless and Keep you'll! Sorry but that is my southern roots showing forth.
