School Closed?
By Mark Flippo
I do remember it used to take a lot more snow to cancel classes. We walked a quarter of a mile just to get to the bus stop. Seriously! It seems we are not as hardy of a people than old timers. You worked on the farm when you were not in school. Snow on the ground, we had to bring hay bails out for the animals. We would take an ax to break a hole in the pond for them to be able to drink water. Enough about how tough things were. Today we fight against more unclean spirits than ever before. It is a daily battle to keep oneself unspotted from the world. Our battles may have changed but the end goal has not. Where Jesus is, is where we all want to go!
