Special Fathers' Day Lesson
By Mark Flippo
My Father Loved us greatly. He was not a Huggy man. That was moms' work. He worked from before the sun was up until after the sun went down. We did not get to see him much. Now when a vehicle broke down, he wanted us to help him. By us I mean my older brother Larry. My sister Veva and myself the middle child. I did not mind helping for a little while you know handing him different tools. Why do kids prefer to go out and play? Dumb question it's more fun! I have known other families where similar activities were happening. He Loved me that I know. How about your father? Have you learned to appreciate him yet? Even though my father has passed to the other side my Love for him has grown.
Please tell all your fathers with a hug that you care a great deal for him. It is OK to say you Love him. We do not have to be macho all the time. I know there is a lot of pain with the holidays. Our youngest refuses to have anything to do with his grandmother, my wife or I. It breaks our hearts and we have cried many times with that burden on our backs. I know there are others with similar situations. Pray for my family. God help all of the Fathers out there. Help them to have wisdom in dealing with their children. Try to be patient with them. Whether you have 19 children (yes that still happens) or one. Heavenly Father guide us with all with your wisdom! Love to all!
