How Is Your Life Going?
By Mark Flippo
Haggai attributes a recent drought to the people's refusal to rebuild the temple, which he sees as key to Jerusalem’s glory. What is happening in your life right now? Read the scriptures below and see if any of this sounds like your life.
Haggai 1:
5-Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. 6-You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”
Does this last line fit your situation? There are times in our lives that we can be tested in the money department. If you are having dire financial situations happening to you maybe you are failing to give to God what is His. Has Jesus asked you to help around your local building and you have not done so? God is concerned about what we show to others as His home! We need to be more aware of what our building looks like. Is it clean? Are repairs kept up? How is the lawn? Let us make sure that God's place looks better than our own homes!
