Can Money Buy Happiness?
By Mark Flippo
1 Timothy 6:10 - For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:17-19 - Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
It can buy enjoyment. Real long lasting happiness is another matter. Money can get you many things. Things do not bring you Love. Your entire personality of your soul determines if you are happy or not. It would be nice to have more money to at least pay bills but it is not a have to. I have learned how to be happy without chasing the dollar bill.
Things just clutter up your life and bring the feeling of being trapped by all of the things you have bought. We need to free ourselves of excess. The tiny house movement is getting in on part of the idea. Freedom from being tied up by every ad that suggests your life would be better if you only owned what they are selling! Be careful it is a major trap that is hard to withdraw yourself from.
