My wife and I have fasted many times over the years. We had never been taught Matthew 6:17. If God says it in scripture then it is Truth and you should obey and do it His way. We have changed and found the results are much better for our obedience. Consider doing this the next time you fast. You may be greatly surprised at the difference.
