Fear And Anger Worked
By Mark Flippo
Psalm 37:8 ESV
Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.
Exodus 12:
31-32 Pharaoh called in Moses and Aaron that very night and said, “Get out of here and be done with you—you and your Israelites! Go worship God on your own terms. And yes, take your sheep and cattle as you’ve insisted, but go. And bless me.”
33-The Egyptians couldn’t wait to get rid of them; they pushed them to hurry up, saying, “We’re all as good as dead.”
Fear and anger worked against the Pharaoh. Both of these emotions are strong ones and can get you into a lot of trouble. Just think back in your life and remember those times and how much trouble came to you because of not controlling these two emotions.
We all have so much work to do on ourselves that it can seem like we will never become like Jesus. We can take comfort with knowing that Jesus will work on us until our change comes! If you know the song sing it gently to yourself as an encouragement of where you are headed. "To be like Jesus."
