Is This True For You?
By Mark Flippo
noun. a person who prevails in spite of opposition, difficulties, weakness, etc.: The situation is very frustrating, but I've decided to become an overcomer; I am pressing on.
I know many that have had serious setbacks in their lives. Deaths in their family. The family next door to us, the kids lost their dad and mom in a car accident. Five kids are learning how to be without those that cared for them with such LOVE! My father was working on his combine with it running and it caught the elbow of his coat and pulled his arm through the gears. He came up to the house to have my mom take him to the hospital. My sister and I ran out to meet him excited to see him.
His arm was just hanging on by a piece of muscle about the size of a couple of pencils. We turned and ran away we were so grossed out. He had way over 100 stitches in his arm to put it back together. He spent several months in the hospital healing and going through therapy. God helped us all go through it with my father not earning a wage.
It became very difficult. God is good! We made it through learning to trust in Jesus! He really does LOVE all of us!
