Jesus Delights In Healing The Bedridden
By Mark Flippo
Acts 9:32-35 (ESV)
32-Now as Peter went here and there among them all, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda. 33-There he found a man named Aeneas, bedridden for eight years, who was paralyzed. 34-And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise and make your bed.” And immediately he rose. 35-And all the residents of Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.
This is a real need today. There are so many that are bedridden because of disease, sickness or accidents. Are there any Amen's out there? I myself have been bedridden at different times because of surgeries. It is no fun for anyone. Do you have a family member that is in this kind of situation? Do you have a friend or someone you work with having this difficulty?
I hope you make the time to pray for and visit them. It means so much to those who are stranded in bed. I can remember everyone that came to visit me.
One friend came almost everyday to sit with me. I am eternally grateful to Brother Turman. I prayed for God to bless Him for keeping me encouraged. Is there someone that you can think of right now that needs you to hold them up in prayer? Make time to visit them no matter if they are in the hospital or home! Jesus Loved us in our broken state. Will you Love like Jesus does?
