The Cleansing Cross

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
What would we have done without Jesus dying on the cross? There was no power in the wood that made up the cross. The power was in Jesus' surrendering to the plan of salvation! His blood was shed for the remission (forgiveness) of our sins. For salvation to happen you must first believe that He is and He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.
In this case the first He is, refers to that same designation like was mentioned in the Old Testament when God said to tell Israel that I am. This was written so the the Hebrews would know who Jesus was. He let us know that He is the only True Wise God! There is no god beside Him. We must come to salvation through Jesus Christ! Are you a believer? Have you received Him since you believed?
