Disguise Not Working?
By Mark Flippo
This is a melon-collie. (Ha! Ha!) Someone had a sense of humor here. We tend to keep up a false front when we do not want others to know how we are feeling. We disguise our thoughts. Sometimes out of fear of what others may think. Other times it is out of embarrassment. We can be ashamed that we had a thought of that kind in our mind.
Mostly, we just do not want to be hurt again.
If we make the emotional wall high enough and wide enough we can stop any pain and keep it from making us hurt! That may work on the short term but it will not last forever. God will send someone your way that will see through your wall. There are those that are blessed in tearing down emotional walls that people build. I am asking God right now to send that kind of person to the hurting who need Jesus more today than ever!
