Are You Really Listening?

That is a jack rabbit, which lives in the deserts of western North America. It's large ears assist with temperature regulation.
Proverbs 18:13 ESV
If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame.
Proverbs 19:20 ESV
Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.
James 1:19 ESV
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;
How many times has the minister been giving forth what they feel will help all of his or her saints and you faded out at some point and missed part of what he or she said and you have to ask your neighbor "What did they say?" Shame on me but I have been guilty of that. Now confess the truth, so have you. It is so easy to let our minds wander.
We need to learn to discipline our minds to focus!
Practice is the only way to get better at it. Have you ever been up before the saints and you got nervous? You have been given a task and you get blank stares from some. It happens to all of us at one time or another. Teachers, you know all about this little mishap. Blank stares seems to be a part of everyone that is putting themselves out there to try and help people out. We must be patient with each other because we have all failed at one time or another!
