Demanding Parents!
By Mark Flippo
Ephesians 6:4 says, “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” while Colossians 3:21 echoes “Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.” Risking the wrath of expositors everywhere.
This is such an easy mess up. Fathers want their children to behave. Sometimes we go overboard. OOPS! Moms are taken advantage by the kids. My boys knew who to ask for something they wanted. Parents must strive to find a balance. Do not forget men, God is holding us to a higher standard. You do not want them to get as far away as they can and never speak to you again. Now you know my failure. One son has not spoken to us in so many years. It hurts really bad. I have cried many nights on my bad decisions. Please do not lose your kids.
