What Are You Plugged Into?
By Mark Flippo
1 Corinthians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].
Where do you gain your strength from? Where is your thinking based? Do you follow a man's philosophy? There are many schools of thought out there. What things do you know for a fact? I have heard people talk about things they are so sure of but after further examination their understanding was weak. If you follow the Bible, what is your thinking based on? Bible colleges have all kinds of different teachings on the same subjects. All say theirs is the right version of what the disciples taught. Sadly some must be wrong! Who decides for you which is right? Here is the sticky part. If many are wrong does it affect if you go to Heaven or not? This is why that scripture teaches that:
Philippians 2:12 (KJV)
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
You must know what it takes for true salvation. You can not go by anyone's word. You must pray and search the scriptures yourself. No one else is responsible for your life but you! Do not blame anyone and say you can not understand them. Just pray and ask God to help you understand. He may send someone to you but He will answer your prayer!
