The Good Old Days
By Mark Flippo
I have heard many older people talk about the good old days. They had there charm but they were hard. If you grew up with indoor plumbing you take it for granted. I am not that old but our bathrooms froze up every winter. The old outhouse was used in the coldest part of the year. We had to walk a little ways to get to it but it was our only choice.
We burned wood if we wanted to be warm in some parts of our house. Today I thank the man that invented the toilet! I am thankful for electricity. We have so much to be grateful for but the generations living today complain more than ever! People talk to your children old or young and remind them who they need to be thankful for all that they enjoy! Like the saying says: Have an attitude of gratitude!
