The Joys Of Being Grateful
By Mark Flippo
Psalm 136:1 (ESV)
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.
Psalms 37:4 - Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
This is such a powerful portion of scripture! All of them were healed of the leprosy that plagued them. One came back to say thank you, from a grateful man. He knew He was not worthy of this miracle but was so moved by Jesus's compassion that he could not help but return with the grateful tears in his eyes just so he could say from his heart with Love a simple thank you! Whatever the disease had destroyed, God made those parts like new again. What powerful words.
Have you ever made an effort to go back to someone after they have been so kind to you just to say thank you? The effect it has on a person can not be measured by earthly standards. Gratitude has moved mountains of paperwork and people. Just be sincere when you give that offering of thanks to anyone. Don't just accept a service without being extra kind with your words. Words have power, use them Wisely!
