To All Contractors
By Mark Flippo
Matthew 7:24-27 (NIV)
24-“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25-The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26-But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27-The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
Both of these men suffered the exact same thing come against what they had built! Notice also that they came in threes. I hope you have started seeing this repetition over and over in God's Word. Any carpenter worth his salt knows that the foundation is the most important part to get right the first time. If it fails the entire house will collapse. The same is true in the spirit. You must have a firm foundation built upon Biblical principles. To know if you have done that right you will need to pray and ask God to examine you and let you know the Truth about your condition in Him! He will find a way to communicate with you. Open your mind and heart to be examined for Truth in you!
