Staying Dry In A Sinking Boat
By Mark Flippo
Mark 4:
35-And the same day, when the evening was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. 36-And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37-And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38-And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish
When we were talking about this subject, someone brought up an understanding that when water was coming into the boat, if Jesus would have started feeling the water around Him He would have awakened. Could you sleep if water was rising around you to the point of drowning? Scripture does say it was now full. Wherever He was sleeping it must have been dry. It seems to me to have been a small miracle that preceded the calming of the storm. It goes to show you that no matter your situation, He can keep you dry even when a storm is raging!
