Raising Up Baby
By Mark Flippo
Proverbs 13:24 (ESV)
Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.
Proverbs 29:15 (ESV)
The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.
We know that we are not to beat a child but a light spanking I know is old fashioned but it works. Now for older children you can take away computer, phone or TV privileges. Now the really older mouthy teenagers, take away their car driving privileges.
The punishment should be age appropriate. Now this will not help them share the Love to you quickly but eventually they catch on. The real fun is when they have kids you might hear them saying "Oh God I sound like my mom or dad!" Then you just laugh and laugh and give the kids back to them!! History is a wonderful thing!
