Are You Living In God's Will?
By Mark Flippo
Psalm 25:4
Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.
Jeremiah 29:13O
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
In case you did not know it, you can live outside of God's will.
Which accounts for the majority of people in this world. How very sad their end will not be a good one. Every funeral you go to it seems like so many there will place the dead in Heaven. No matter how they lived. I know the scriptures that many want to throw in your face.
Matthew 7:1-5 (MSG)
“Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbor’s face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say, ‘Let me wash your face for you,’ when your own face is distorted by contempt? It’s this whole traveling road-show mentality all over again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor.
God's Word is the only righteous judge. Maybe there needs to be a rethinking of many minds. Don't use the judging scripture unless you use all others around it. Make sure you don't open your mouth and insert foot. Know all of the Bible. Don't just cherry pick the scriptures that you like. Learn to be in God's will in everything and He will guide your thoughts and your actions.
