Are Your Loyalties Divided?
By Mark Flippo
Matthew 6:24
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other You cannot serve God and wealth.
This is so much like funny videos where a person has one leg on the dock and the other in a boat and boat is moving away from the dock. Guess what happens? Oh, so you have seen that video. So many times we are torn between our family and work. Your job wants you more and your family feels betrayed. Why don't you have enough time for us? Our mate and kids can be so hurt by this that they carry it throughout their lives.
They may do the same thing to their family. I know there are times that you get behind in bills and you feel forced to work more. Sadly I did that and my kids suffered this blow to their minds. With a heavy heart I must admit one of my boys has refused to have anything to do with us for a great many years.
He told us to never contact him again for any reason, his life is just fine without us. We have cried many times over this but have just given it to God to deal with him. We can not change his heart but God is ever loving and will work on him! Walk softly before the Lord and learn at His feet what is the best way to do all things!
