Reflections Of The Past
By Mark Flippo
Deuteronomy 4:9
"Only give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your sons and your grandsons.
Deuteronomy 32:7
"Remember the days of old, Consider the years of all generations. Ask your father, and he will inform you, Your elders, and they will tell you.
As you age you tend to reminisce more. You remember your good times and your bad times. You rethink that "I should have done things differently." However dwelling on the past can derail your future. We must learn from our past. We should prepare for our future. Of course we need to live in the today!
If you have been crowned with gray, white or no hair, you have earned every bit if it and you need to be of a help to younger people and children! Involve yourself in the young children's lives. Even if it is only to hold them when a mother is singing in choir. When you are holding them pray earnestly for that child to always have a heart tender before God.
