The Challenges Of Being Pregnant
By Mark Flippo
John 16:21 ESV
When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.
I am not a woman, but I have talked with many concerning being with child and all of its challenges. Some, the first timers make them so miserable with being nauseous. Then there is the constant shrinking of your clothes. Sure, that's why they don't fit. Their husbands being such jerks and not understanding why they are being crabby. Their emotions bouncing all over the place. They know they will never get their per-baby body back.
They can't sleep because the baby in later stages is pushing on their bladder and will not let them sleep. You begin to wonder if they are trying to dig their way out of your belly. Then starts the labor pains. They get worse and worse. All of the sudden that man that you sleep next too gets the evil eye from you. You tell him, you will never touch me again, in between labor pains. Being pregnant is wonderful right? This gift comes from God with a little bundle of pain. Thank God for babies!? Right?
