Did Spanking Work?

Proverbs 13:24 ESV
Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.
Proverbs 23:13-15 ESV
Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die. If you strike him with the rod, you will save his soul from Sheol. My son, if your heart is wise, my heart too will be glad.
Hebrews 12:11 ESV
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
The Bible is clear on this subject! All of the counselors and psychologists and psychiatrists, can not give better help than Jesus. They will tell you man's ways of correction is best. If it disagrees with the Bible, I will take the Bibles advice over that of man's advice! I have seen continued problems with kids as they grow because the parents refused to spank. We have enough to work on every day, let us not add not disciplining our children to the list!
