When You Mess Up, Fess Up!
By Mark Flippo
John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Proverbs 28:13: “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”
John 1:9: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.”
Proverbs 28:13: “A man who refuses to admit his mistakes can never be successful. But if he confesses and forsakes them, he gets another chance.”
Ok, who does this sound like to you? Hey, I do not even know you! Just kidding. Ha, Ha. I know of so many that are too proud to confess their sins. The wrong kind of pride is running on overflow! Many are too proud to admit they were wrong! It is not that hard. Most are ready and willing to forgive someone if they are truly sorry for what they have done. I have had a bad attitude which is just as bad as saying bad things. Sorry about that. Expressions like I'm only human and Nobody's perfect! Those are some over used excuses. Stop Lying, it is a sin no matter the situation. That sin will weigh you down until you repent of it. You cannot move forward unless you put the past behind you! Please ask God to forgive you first and then He may impress you to go to whoever you offended and APOLIGIZE! Jesus is big on having a clean slate! What does your heart and mind look like to our Heavenly Father? Is it time to clean up and make a fresh start? Do not wait too late! I hope you do not die with a wrong attitude clouding your mind and heart! That does happen!
