When It's Time to Say Goodbye!
By Mark Flippo
This is an emotion lesson to write. First, it starts when your kids leave home for college or military service! A lot of tearful goodbyes! My wife cried when our oldest moved just down the street to their own place! I was ready to help them all move out as fast as they could, I guess that is fathers and sons. Fathers and daughters are just different, according to what other fathers have told me. They cried missing their baby girls. Now women just cry no matter what! It is all a part of our growth process! We do not want children with stunted spiritual growth. They need to find their path to adulthood. Yes, both sides of the family get separation anxiety! Jesus wants us to trust Him to help us grow up the right way. The process may make you very uncomfortable! When you Trust in Jesus He can bring much comfort and Peace to your mind. Trust we must! He keeps His promises!
2 Peter 3:9: "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."
Put Him first and all the rest will fall in line at the right time.
