The Beauty Of Lilacs
By Mark Flippo
Matthew 6:28-30: "Jesus praised the beauty of the natural world."
The is the most tender compassionate lesson that God has ever given me. I had lilacs bushes growing at my home where I grew up. When it was time in the spring for them to flower, you first saw the buds, then multiple flowers with such a wonderful fragrance. Eventually fading and just leaving the green leaves. That flower even though it is gone is borrowed to make air fresheners.
Sheets and towels and a variety of things have their look upon them. As people get older the outward beauty fades, but a true Christians beauty remains. Long after we are gone to be with the LORD, the work we have done will continue to show forth the LORD'S beauty! That sweet smelling savor that was our essence will continue to enrich generations to come. Our imprint will remain bright and fresh because of our Fathers Spirit that we have allowed to mature us! God put His beauty in us to touch others. God's beauty is contagious. Bloom on Saints!
