The story of Jacob and Esau is significant in the Bible, particularly in Genesis 25:26, where it states that Jacob was named after his birth, as he held Esau's heel. This act symbolizes Jacob's pursuit of Esau's birthright and blessings, indicating a rivalry that would characterize their lives.
God knows who has a right spirit even before you were born! God chooses at His discretion who He will smile upon and who He will frown upon! A lot of Christians know of the life of Jacob and Esau. Esau faded from the scene after he sold his birthright. The way he lived showed how little he thought of that gift! Jacob became one of Jesus forefathers. Sadly, Esau lost out on that privilege! What a sad life. Jacob had a right spirit before God which brought blessing to his family.
